Health Canada approved vaccines for use in Canada:

- Pfizer-BioNTech – expected to be 95% effective after two doses
- Moderna – expected to be 94% effective after two doses
- AstraZeneca (AstraZeneca and COVISHIELD) – expected to be 64% effective after two doses
- Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) – expected to be 66% effective after one dose

Where to get your vaccine?

-Please call the Ontario Provincial Vaccine Line@ 1-888-999-6488 or your local Shoppers Drug Mart 

  to book an appointment

- Anyone over the age of 12+ years old, can get their vaccine.

- You can book your 2nd dose 28 days after your first dose.

Who should not get the vaccine?

You should not get the vaccine if you have:
- symptoms of COVID-19covid 19
- another acute disease, such as strep throat, flu or pneumonia
- received another vaccine (not a COVID-19covid 19 vaccine) in the past 14 days

- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have an autoimmune condition
- are immunocompromised due to disease or treatment
- have had severe allergic reactions to vaccinations before
